Pension

The guest house was established in 1992. It is situated on a quiet stream in downtown Železná Ruda, off the main road. That makes it the perfect spot for discovering the gorgeous Bohemian and Bavarian Forests, be it in the summer (hiking, cycling) or in winter (cross-country or downhill skiing). Simply put, this truly is a wonderful place in the Bohemian Forest. The Železná Ruda area has developed into an important tourist hotspot. Its location close to the German border makes it a great starting point for exploring the Bohemian and Bavarian Forests including the Grosser Arber ski resort, a host of the FIS Ski World Cup. A large number of hiking, cycling and cross-country ski trails and first-rate ski resorts in the immediate vicinity make the town and its surroundings a paradise for sports lovers. Bohmerwald is well-equipped to accommodate the needs of tourists, sports enthusiasts and other visitors: we have designated storage room for your bikes and skis, a restaurant with a patio, a gym a conference room for seminars or workshops and sauna. A recently installed glass elevator makes the guest house fully wheelchair accessible. The town of Železná Ruda has a good train and bus connection to Klatovy, Pilsen and Prague as well as Bavaria.
